Michael Riordan, founder and President of Focus Trading, Inc. has over 26 years experience in the commodities industry. Michael’s futures career is well-rounded. He began his career at Stotler and Company in1983 as market analyst. He joined Manufacturers Hanover Futures & Options, Inc. in 1985 as bank officer and later served as CBOT financial floor operations manager and market analyst. Michael joined Goldenberg, Hehmeyer & Co. in 1992 as a proprietary futures and options trader investing in both short and long-term financial derivatives. He worked with NatWest Futures, Inc. from 1993 until1995 as financial market analyst and with Credit Lyonnais Rouse from 1995 until1996 at the CBOT managing floor operations. He founded Focus Trading, Inc. in 1996.

During over a decade of interaction with the institutional trading community, local pit traders and brokers, Michael found a passion for research analysis, obtained additional training and honed his own technique for trading which lead to the formation of Focus Trading, Inc. He first shared his analysis with colleagues, floor traders and clients who soon recognized his ability to provide consistently accurate market analysis specializing in technical analysis and has expanded his presence globally to the electronic trading community.

Considered an expert in technical analysis, Michael publishes a daily newsletter called TechTalk. Tech Talk is a daily newsletter providing comprehensive research analysis. FocusPoint, a PowerPoint commentary, provides daily market coverage with a more in-depth analysis of TechTalk. FocusText is a text message service that offers aggressive traders split second delivery of trade recommendations.
